Aurora Huskies Of Norway

Inga Dansberg, Olav Henke, our son Tiger and 18 alaska huskies, wish you welcome to join into the greatness of northern nature. Our passion for our home country Norway and outdoor nature life is our motivation to travel and to live in northern nature. Running a team of alaska huskies through vast northern land, sailing arctic waters to the Lofoten Islands, fishing trout, climbing mountains.... Northern lights, full moon, sun sets, white deserts, blizzards, icy rivers, midnight sun and taiga forests are the playground for our lives.

We live in Nord Torpa, 50 km west of Lillehammer. Here we work on developing the ecosystem wetlands along the rivers Hynna, Etna, Dokka and Randsfjord - Ecosystem Dokkadelta (www.dokkadelta.com).

Since 1992 we had three alaskan huskies. In 2006 we bought four more and started at Femundløpet and Finnmarksløpet. In autumn 2006 Tiger was born and joined into the handler team at both races in 2007. Summer 2007 we started breeding now in 2010 we have 17 aurora huskies. A dog team, canoes, a sailboat and sleeping bags are our equipment for adventure.
